Steel strapping
BB steel strapping 1.5 mm is used for the diagonal bracing of roof and wall constructions. Thanks to the lower material thickness, up to 25 % in weight can be saved. Due to the patented edge forming, they nevertheless have a very high tension load.
BB steel strapping 2.0 mm can be used in many different ways for construction, but is mainly used for bracing roof constructions.
Installation
The steel strapping is nailed to the rafters with 4.0 mm ring-shank nails with grooves and is anchored separately at the base. Ridge screws can also be used. In the event that greater tensile forces have to be absorbed, several adjacent straps can be installed. The fasteners used for the BB steel strapping must comply with prEN 14592.
Approval
The BB Stanz- und Umformtechnik steel strapping has been approved on the basis of the harmonised standard DIN EN 14545.
