Are you interested in how punching and forming machines are set up, monitored and maintained?
We manufacture high-quality metal products as well as impact-resistant, shatter-proof and temperature-resistant storage boxes made of plastic.
We would like to welcome you to our location in Berga, at the foot of the Kyffhäuser mountains as an apprentice punching and forming mechanic at the beginning of your training programme in September 2025.
What you can expect:
- You will start your career as an apprentice punching and forming mechanic at BB Stanz- und Umformtechnik - a subsidiary of the Würth Group
- During your training you will learn how to make parts from metal sheets and wires
- YOU will set up the machine and material flow accordingly depending on how many parts have been ordered
- You will learn how to send test products from the conveyor belt and then evaluate the machine's setup to avoid faulty production
- You will check the components and check that the reference values have been observed
- You will learn how to change and optimise settings on the machines
- You may need to rework some products or manually mount them on assemblies, as the machines cannot do this
- You will often be in contact with lubricants and will be surrounded by machine noise throughout the day...wearing protective clothing and hearing protection is therefore a must
Your skills:
- You have completed your school education at least to the level of "intermediate school-leaving certificate"
- Working with large machines interests you and you like to work with your hands
- Your strengths include diligence and craftsmanship
- You are physically fit, as a lot of your work will involve walking and standing
- You are prepared to work shifts, as many machines do not stop even in the evenings and, every four weeks, even at weekends
