We would like to welcome you to our location in Berga, at the foot of the Kyffhäuser mountains as an apprentice tool mechanic at the beginning of your training programme in September 2025.
What you can expect:
- You will start your career as an apprentice tool mechanic at BB Stanz- und Umformtechnik - a subsidiary of the Würth Group
- During your training, you will be right there where the interesting part of the work - drilling, milling and hammering - happens; you will learn to read technical drawings and manufacture tools exactly to the specified dimensions
- Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you will learn how to manufacture complete components from a wide variety of materials, and how to assemble, test and repair them in a functional manner
- Measuring and testing equipment will be your daily tools for testing dimensional accuracy within a few thousandths of a millimetre
- You will dip into the field of computer science - in addition to traditional machining methods, CNC-controlled machine tools are also used
- Occupational safety will be a central part of your training - you will learn how to deal with regulations and safety measures
Your skills:
- You have completed your school education at least to the level of "intermediate school-leaving certificate"
- You are enthusiastic about technology and like to work with your hands
- Your strengths include diligence and craftsmanship and you will hopefully also have enjoyed mathematics and physics at school
