Flat connector

There are many applications for BB flat connectors in structural wood construction.
They are used, in particular, for manufacturing timber frame and collar beam trusses.
BB flat connectors are produced in 2.5 mm and 3 mm material thickness.

Installation

The BB flat connectors have nail holes with a diameter of 5 mm and anchor holes with a diameter of 11 mm. The arrangement of the holes depends on the width of the plate. The wooden parts to be connected should have the same width. Two perforated metal plates per connection and the outermost holes of the plates should always be used. The requirements of the timber construction standard for edge and end distances must be adhered to.

Approval

The BB flat connectors are subject to the harmonised standard DIN EN 14545
